"Figures caught mid-word, mid-gesture"
A deep navy field holds a figurative scene rendered with the attention of a painter, not a craftsman. Figures are caught mid-gesture, mid-word; gold and sky-blue tones bring light into what might otherwise be a nocturnal composition. This is a carpet that carries the ambition of oil on canvas but chooses thread as its medium. At less than half a square metre, the density of information it contains is rare.
